Amanda Vozar, D.C.: Doctor of Chiropractic
I received my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology from Penn State in 2009 and continued my graduate education at Palmer College of Chiropractic in Port Orange, FL. While at Palmer College I was an anatomy lab assistant, a teaching assistant for x-ray positioning and a radiology lab assistant. I am originally from Northeast Pennsylvania and I love my home state, but I have come to love the Shenandoah Valley.
At the young age of 14, after being treated by a chiropractor for a sports injury, I decided I wanted to become a chiropractor. Chiropractic has had such a positive impact on my life and I want to share those benefits with others. It has become my passion and purpose in life to share the chiropractic story and the miracles I've experienced firsthand. I believe in the art, science and philosophy of chiropractic and I pride myself on educating my patients on the importance of wellness chiropractic. I love my profession and I love sharing the chiropractic message with others!
"The power that made the body, HEALS THE BODY. It happens no other way." BJ Palmer
Audreona Casey, L.M.T: Massage Therapist
I attended Fortis College in Richmond where I obtained my massage therapy license. The human body and anatomy have always been intriguing to me. My curiosity of anatomy led me to massage therapy. The main types of massage I use are deep tissue, myofascial, Swedish as well as prenatal. I get enjoyment out of helping people attain their health and wellness goals through massage. Working in a wellness office has offered me the opportunity to see how well chiropractic and massage work together. The one on one time I get with patients allows me to discover who they are as a person in addition to working on their areas of concern.
I firmly believe in the old adage “Pain is weakness leaving the body.”
Rachael Sauder: Office Manager
I was born and raised in the Shenandoah Valley. I attended Eastern Mennonite High School and upon graduation I went directly to Eastern Mennonite University, where I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. I have always been a people person. My passion for wanting to help people led me to a career in the health and wellness field.
Since starting at Dr. Atwell's office in October of 2015, I have learned so much about the benefits and miracles of Chiropractic care. I wish I would have known more about the power of Chiropractic when I was younger. During a routine checkup with my pediatrician I found out that I had scoliosis. When I was 13, I had surgery to correct the scoliosis at UVA hospital. Had I known more about Chiropractic, I would have started getting adjusted at a very young age to help prevent my scoliosis. Now that I know about chiropractic and the miracles that I get to see on a daily basis, I am able to pass on that knowledge to others. I just love that I can now pair my passion of working with others with my passion for sharing my knowledge about chiropractic.
I am married to my high school sweetheart Jeremy and we have a dog named Wally. I love gardening, meal prepping, working out and spending time with family and friends.
Casandra Granados: Chiropractic Assistant
I am Casandra Granados, chiropractic marketing assistant at Atwell family chiropractic. I am originally from San Antonio, FL. I graduated from Pasco Hernando State College in Florida with a certificate diploma in health unit coordination. Even though I am from Florida, Virginia is now my home.
I didn't know much about chiropractic when I first starting working here, but I quickly saw the positive responses our patients were having. Since I started getting adjusted I recommend it to everyone! Being able to apply my degree with my love of interacting with people has been a blessing.
I am very outgoing and in my free time, I enjoy spending time in the outdoors exploring Virginia with my husband. Si hablo Español.
Amber Dove: New Patient Advocate
My name is Amber and I am the new patient advocate. I was born and raised in Broadway, VA where I graduated from Broadway High School in 2015. As a former patient, I saw firsthand the benefits of chiropractic care. By having that experience as a patient, I can pass on that knowledge to all of the patients I encounter on a daily basis.
Before working here I was a certified nurse assistant. Being a CNA gave me experience with patient care and interaction. I have a passion for helping people and now I get to help people on a daily basis; whether it's walking them through their new patient appointment or making sure they are doing their exercises properly, I get to be involved from beginning to end.I find enjoyment in baking, reading a good book, spending time with my friends and family and crocheting. I also LOVE animals!
